From earliest childhood to the grave, music is a major influence on our lives.  In concerts and on the airways, the music we hear is a powerful force in giving us personal direction and in the shaping of the morals of our nation.  It has been said that if one desires to take over a country he would be better served to rewrite their music rather than to rewrite their laws.  So strong is the influence of music on humanity.

The Bible tells us to “teach” and “admonish” each other as we sing.
At First Baptist Church, we try to use music that teaches, corrects and encourages all ages, as well as music that seeks to honor the Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus, as we worship Him.  We also try to provide special music group for almost every age group, where individuals can find a place of service while sharpening their musical abilities.  Some of our groups are as follows:

Groups Meeting Now:
– Sanctuary Choir, Wednesday Evenings at 7:40.  This group sings each Sunday morning at the 11:00 service and for special seasonal events.
– The King’s Chorus (Sr. Adult Choir), Tuesday Mornings at 10:00 on the 1st., 3rd., 4th., and 5th. Tuesdays.  For adults 55 and older, and sings for special seasonal events and when called upon.
– The Praise Band, Thursday evenings.  Sings each week at the 8:30 a.m. Worship Service.
– The Children’s Choir Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6 6:00 p.m.
- Youth Ensemble (Grades 7-12) 5:30 p.m.
– Youth Choir (Grades 7-12) 6:00 p.m.
– Preschool Choir for ages 4 & 5 meeting Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.
– Music for Three’s - a music activity for three year olds meeting Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.
- Music fundamentals for children 18-24 months 6 p.m.
